AMISSAH, RUTH D. (Mrs.) holds a Bachelor of Arts degree as well as the Associateship of the Chartered Insurance Institute of London. She is a Chartered Insurer.

All the twenty-three years of her working life has been in the insurance industry and in Vanguard Assurance. She joined the company soon after her National Service and opted to specialize in the Life Sector.Consequently she has a thoroughly rounded exposure in the issues of that sector with her forte being underwriting.

Over the years she has had the benefit of several technical life insurance and managerial courses including Health and Pensions, Strategic Management, Mortgage Financing and a one month Life Underwriting at Munich Re, Germany.

She has the responsibility of overseeing the technical direction of the Vanguard Life Assurance Company Limited.
