Mr. Gideon Amenyedor, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Insurance UK holds an MBA as well as a B Sc (Ins.) from the University of Ghana.
He has been the Chief Executive Officer of Vanguard Assurance Company Limited since July 2009. Previously held the position of Chief Operations Officer from December 2005 to December 2008 when he was appointed the Acting Chief Executive Officer of Vanguard Assurance Company Limited.
Prior to his appointment he was the Head of Technical Operations at the National Insurance Commission (NIC).
He was also with Ghana Reinsurance Company (Ghana Re) as the Senior Marketing Manager.
He is also a part time lecturer at the University of Ghana Business School.
